Diablo 4's first world boss, Ashava, is one of the main challenges available during the upcoming server slam Diablo 4 beta in May. And unlike the open beta weekend in March, there'll be an additional incentive for killing the big nasty: a cosmetic Diablo 4 beta reward to help you boast once the full game launches in June. Unlike dungeons and quests, world bosses wait for no slayer. Unlike the first betas when Ashava only arrived a handful of times, the server slam weekend will have her arriving a lot more often. Here's exactly when you'll want to be online to fight the giant plague creature.

In March's beta weekends, Ashava was a little harder to come by, only spawning four times total. In the May server slam, however, she'll be a little easier to face: she'll spawn every three hours after her initial spawn on Saturday at 9 am PDT, ending with a final spawn on Sunday at 9 am PDT for a total of 9 spawns. Hopefully, this means you'll have plenty of chances to earn your Cry of Ashava mount trophy.
Where to find Ashava in Diablo 4
Ashava spawns in The Crucible, which is a small level 25+ section of the Fractured Peaks on its eastern edge. You'll get an on-screen popup 30 minutes before Ashava spawns so you have time to head to the right area.
Like an MMO, world bosses allow for a lot of players in the same area to convene and fight together. You'll have 15 minutes on the clock to take Ashava down and complete the world event. Ashava is a "whirlwind of pestilence" and is capable of coating the ground in poison. Be ready to deal with lots of AOE attacks. Her big forearm blades are rather strong too, which she uses to swipe a full circle around herself. There is a way to weaken Ashava, Blizzard has hinted.
If you want a real one on one challenge though, don't miss out hunting down the Diablo 4 Den Mother in the Light's Watch dungeon.
